Operation and Expected Performance of the NLC

چکیده
‘The main linacs for the proposed Next Linear Collider (NLC) provide acceleration of up to 500 GeV per beam. The linacs operate in a regime where unavoidable imperfections and even natural ground motion cause significant emittance dilutions. In order to achieve the NLC luminosity goals, small emittance beams must be transported with an emittance growth of less than SLAC-PUB-7354 November 1996 Operation and Expected Performance of the NLC Main Linacs* Ralph W. Assmann and Tor O. Raubenheimer Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Stanford University, Stanford, CA 94309, USA about 175% for the 1 TeV center-of-mass version of the NLC. In this paper we discuss the operation and the expected performance of the NLC main linacs. Under the assumption that the specified device tolerances are met, it is shown from detailed simulations that the linac emittance transport fulfills the NLC requirements. Probucol nanostructured lipid carrier ameliorates elastase-induced abdominal aortic aneurysm in mice
Probucol (PB) is a drug commonly used for the treatment of hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis. In our previous study, we have proved that PB can ameliorate abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) induced by elastase in mice through its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative effect. In this study, the water solubility and oral absorption of PB were improved by encapsulating PB into nanostructured lipid ca...
متن کاملSimulation Studies of the NLC with Improved Ground Motion Models
The performance of various systems of the Next Linear Collider (NLC) have been studied in terms of ground motion using recently developed models. In particular, the performance of the beam delivery system is discussed. Plans to evaluate the operation of the main linac beam-based alignment and feedback systems are also outlined.
متن کاملStorage Stability of Wheat Germ Oil Encapsulated within Nanostructured Lipid Carriers
The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of surfactant composition on the physical properties of nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) containing wheat germ oil (WGO) and to investigate the influence of both surfactant composition and pH on the oxidative stability of WGO encapsulated within the NLCs. The results showed that the smallest particle size (52.7 nm) was related to the NLC with t...
